Inspiring changes with Gallery Three

PG Bison is a proudly South African company with more than 120 years’ experience in creating wood-based panel products. One of the reasons we’re still here is that we never stand still. We’re always looking to improve our business and find new and better ways to serve our customers.

It was quite apt that we chose the theme “change” for our Gallery Three collection, which we had planned to launch near the end of March with a nationwide roadshow. We were busy building our sets and finalising venues when South Africa began to implement coronavirus regulations and then the lockdown was announced. We quickly realised that our whole campaign plan needed to be adapted.

Working closely our team of agencies, we evolved the campaign from a roadshow to an entirely digital offering. Hopefully you’ve seen some of the elements, whether an email in your inbox, on social media or by attending one of our webinar Gallery Three launches. We also launched our new website, with a fresh brand look and feel, and our new and improved free kitchen design tool.

The Gallery Three collections

Our four Gallery Three collections are:

SEASONS

A collection of natural tones and textures that reflect the gentle shifts and relentless flow of nature.

We’ve noted that solid colours remain highly popular. But why not embrace the potential of change by combining them with wood grains or stone designs on cupboards or drawers for a striking two-tone effect. Using solid colours inside carcasses also adds a taste of exclusivity and style. Within SEASONS, we’ve introduced five new MelaWood® solid colours:

Biskra™: a versatile tan, compliments many of the other designs in the range. Warm and natural.

Dunblane Grey™: a neutral mid-grey, if Folkstone Grey™ is too light and Storm Grey™ is too dark.

Kalapana™: a sophisticated carbon colour, when Storm Grey™ is too light and Super Black™ is too dark.

Caraz™: a trending duck-shell green that pairs beautifully with other solid colours, as well as woodgrain and stone prints.

Picco White™: radiates a cleaner, deeper white.

SWITCH

A feast of bold and sure designs that bring a sense of determination and decisiveness to any space.

We’ve improved our already hygienic PG Bison MelaWood® by incorporating a special new antibacterial additive to our locally manufactured melamine resin, which destroys 99.9% of bacteria within just six hours.

This additional built-in protective layer makes MelaWood® Anti-Bacterial the perfect solution for hygiene-sensitive, high-traffic areas where cleanliness alone is insufficient, such as healthcare facilities, office spaces, schools, restaurants, retail and even at home.

EVOLUTION

Comforting natural hues that pay tribute to our gentle, ever-changing earth.

Our MelaWood® SupaGloss™ range is constantly evolving to bring you the latest trends. We’ve added four exciting new solid colours to our already popular 11 original solid colours, plus two new stone designs.

Our five premier woodgrain designs from MelaWood® SupaTexture™ are now also available in MelaWood® SupaGloss™.

METAMORPHOSIS

Deep, rich woodgrains and solid colours lend courage to the idea of change and the good it can do.

Metamorphosis has affected not just our designs and colours, but our finishes too. We’re constantly investing in technology and our processes so we can bring you the latest ideas the world has to offer.

For example, our new and improved MelaWood® SupaMatt™ finish, which is now treated with Excimer lamps while passing under a nitrogen blanket. This activates the surface and brings about a luxurious velvety matt, fingerprint-resistant finish to any colour or design.
